Our review after sailing with Regent Seven Seas Cruises aboard the Splendor. Are there any stand-out sustainability or green initiatives about this cruise? Every guest receives a Regent reusable water bottle, and the ship has plenty of refilling stations scattered around.
Seven Seas Splendor
I form my own opinions and have learned alot from the day by day blogs and the trips summaries that are posted. I will not attempt a day by day post myself because I know I won't keep it up. I do take notes each day so I can have a fairly comprehensive summary when we are home. I posted a review of our first Regent cruise (on Voyager) and I think it was a positive review.
Seven Seas Mariner Cruise: Expert Review (2023) - CruiseCritic.co.uk
Activities and entertainment Regent’s fleet offers Broadway-caliber shows backed by a live five-piece orchestra in its plush Constellation Theater. Smaller-scale piano performances and the like also take place nightly in bars and lounges throughout the ship. On the sports deck you’ll also find a pickleball court, ping pong table, shuffleboard, putting green, and netted driving range bay. The quality of the poolside food is worth writing home about because it's as good as or better than the food you'd find in the main dining rooms on most other cruise lines' ships. Yes, the fare in Seven Seas Grandeur's main dining room and alternative restaurants is also fantastic, but you would expect those meals to be standouts. Yet it's clear that the ship's culinary team puts effort into every meal on board, even the most casual.
Exclusive Offer
And the baristas at Coffee Connection are ready to make your espresso drinks just the way you like them. On our third day, the barista actually had my mom’s coffee ready as soon as she sat down — she didn’t even have to order, he just remembered how she liked it. Beauty salon and barber services are also available at an extra charge.
Not an appropriate/enjoyable travel option for the sick, vulnerable, elderly or for any decent, appreciative human being as a paying customer. So many more beautiful options out there with more to offer. Staff aren't happy either and do thir best to accommodate under the circumstances, poor, unsafe, non caring leader-ship.
All take no give service
There is a swimming pool on deck and three Jacuzzis, but no lifeguards. There is no specific activity for children as most of the guests on the cruise are over 50. COVID-19 vaccinations or negative test results are not mandatory, but they are encouraged. Guests are required to fill out a health questionnaire before embarking the ship. After each port visit, health screenings are automatically done. However, if there are cases of COVID-19, crew will mask up and limit social interaction with guests, depending on the severity of the situation, and sanitization procedures may increase.
Not included with your cruise fare:
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is a luxury cruise line that offers all-inclusive sailings to some of the most desirable destinations in the world. The line is known for its exceptional service, spacious accommodations, and gourmet dining options. After reading some of the comments I felt obligated to write a review. My husband and I have sailed with Regent for the past 10 years clocking up 12 cruises between all their ships.
Asian restaurant Pacific Rim on Deck 5 feels like an elite New York City supper club with an Asian twist, complete with dark walls and earth-toned furnishings. A breathtaking sculpture of a tree, populated with hundreds of pink glass cherry blossoms, greets passengers at the entrance. In addition to separate sleeping and lounging areas (which can be separated by a curtain), I had a walk-in closet and a marble bathroom that felt at least twice the size of bathrooms on standard cruise ships. Passengers in Concierge-level suites or above receive an included hotel night and transfers prior to the cruise.
How much does it cost to go on Seven Seas Voyager?
If you feel strongly about expressing gratitude to the crew, Regent encourages donations to the Crew Welfare Fund at the Purser's Office; this money funds crew parties and events. The fact that Voyager offers an all-inclusive experience enhances the onboard social scene, too, because it means there is no debate about whose round it is or an awkward moment at dinner deciding who pays for the wine. Drinks just keep on being poured, without anyone even having to ask. There is no class system onboard; everyone is treated the same, everyone has access to the same facilities and the same restaurants (though top suite classes have priority for multiple specialty restaurant reservations). There’s also an outdoor relaxation area with three whirlpools looking back over water; this was one of my favorite places to spend time admiring the ocean during our three-night cruise. And, if you receive service that goes above and beyond, adding to the recommended gratuity is always appreciated.
Passengers on Seven Seas Explorer are mainly older couples and retirees, with a few honeymooners and several solo travelers sprinkled throughout as well. Well before Seven Seas Explorer launched in July 2016, Regent Seven Seas was calling it the "Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built." That is a bold statement when it comes to ultra-luxury cruising. In many ways, the ship lives up to the billing, with extraordinary features and tiny details that will make even the most discerning passenger exceptionally happy. There is shuffleboard, paddleboard tennis, table tennis, board games, and jigsaw puzzles.
The company maintains 4 cruise ships visits up to 350 destinations worldwide. Regent Seven Seas Cruises also offers unlimited shore excursions and different activities for its travel vacation experience. Regent includes unlimited shore excursions on every sailing so guests can take full advantage of what each port has to offer. On our cruise to Freeport, Bahamas, excursions included swimming with the pigs at a local beach, relaxing at a nearby resort, snorkeling, touring Grand Bahama Island on a Jeep safari, and more.
Complimentary room service is just another perk of an upscale, inclusive cruise ship. Regent provides room service breakfast cards that you fill out and hang outside your door at night for delivery the following morning. On the second night of the sailing, I hung my order — a cheese omelet with a side of extra-crispy bacon and coffee — and went to bed. The main thing that sets Seven Seas Grandeur apart from its sister ships, Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Explorer, is its design. This newest ship in the Explorer Class was wholly put together by Studio Dado, the renowned Miami-based design firm responsible for only certain aspects of previous vessels. It brightened up many public areas to make them feel airy and spacious, reworked the alternative restaurants and ensured the spaces flow well into one another.
I stayed in a Concierge Suite, of which there are 140 on board. With a super-comfortable Elite Slumber bed facing the balcony, a very spacious walk-in closet, and a bathroom with two sinks, a shower, and a separate tub, this suite offered plenty of storage and lots of room to spread out. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is known for its exceptional dining options. The line offers a range of gourmet restaurants, from classic steakhouse fare to Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. While some dining is open seating and others are reservation-required, all options are included as part of your fare.
The Disney Wish, the latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, stands out as one of the largest and most opulent ships. Departing from Port Canaveral, it embarks on memorable 4-night voyages to Nassau, Bahamas, with a delightful stop at the breathtaking Castaway Cay. The cost of a Disney Wish cruise per person ranges from $900 to $3,500, depending on the aforementioned factors. Disney Cruise Line periodically offers special deals and promotions. These deals can include discounts on fares, onboard credits, and reduced deposits. The level of service, story telling, and entertainment that Disney has is unmatched. From Broadway caliber shows, to Marvel, Disney Characters, Star Wars, etc. The entertainment is off the charts. We found it difficult to get our kids to leave the Disney kids clubs, they loved them that much. The nighttime shows are family friendly and entertaining for all ages. I felt think I was able to introduce my kids to live theater in a way that they enjoyed it.

This budget form is completely free to print as many times as you like. If you have children between the ages of 3 and 10, I would also recommend it. However, if your children are older than 10, it depends on how much you enjoy it. Guests have the option of prepaying for photo packages by visitng MyCruisePhotos.com where options start at around $200. There is so much to do on the ship that many guests have actually chosen to stay aboard. Relax in paradise with beach chairs, umbrellas, waterslides and a buffet lunch (on most Bahamian and Caribbean cruises).
In addition to all the benefits of the Basic Surf plan, you'll also be able to experience faster connection speeds and gain access to music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Plus, you can make video calls on apps like FaceTime, Zoom, and more. The Alpine Zipline Adventure in Juneau, for example, costs $259 per person, while a Catamaran Sailing & Snorkeling experience in Aruba is $51 per adult and $39 per child.
On the other hand, a 7-night European cruise can be more expensive, with prices starting at around $3,500 per person for the same cabin type. Everyone dreams about experiencing a magical Disney Cruise Vacation! The answer depends on the type of Disney cruise ship, the distance of your trip, and the time of year.
Cruises
Below is a list of things not included in your overall cruise fare. Here, I'm sharing how much a Disney cruise costs per ship and itinerary, any extras that are worth the additional fees and how to save money on a Disney cruise. Disney Cruise Line is known for its family-friendly cruises complete with all of your favorite Disney characters, impeccable dining, exciting entertainment and thrilling ports of call. With everything that's included on the sailings, you might be wondering how much a Disney cruise costs — and if you can afford one. I can go on and on about Disney Cruise Line and the extra value you get when booking a Disney cruise. I am happy to help you with your Disney Cruise Line questions and with your Disney cruise planning.
Disney Cruise costs per person can vary depending on the time of year, the length of the cruise, and the specific ship and itinerary. A Disney Cruise is typically a bit more expensive than a comparable cruise on another line, thanks in part to the premium experience offered. On average, the price per night per person is between $300 and $700 (based on double occupancy) depending on the time of the year and the location. The package includes the price of the room, food, and entertainment.
Many factors go into determining if a cruise is worth it for your next family vacation, and the cost of a Disney cruise is determined by many different variables. Yes, only alcohol and some adult only dining experiences are not included. The best way to save money is to book as soon as you know when you want to sail.
If you are not looking to park your car at a cruise terminal, and are looking for a transfer, Disney Cruise Line does offer transfers to and from most airports and departure ports. For example, from Vancouver airport to the Vancouver cruise port, Disney offers transfers for $25 per person each way. Meanwhile, transfers from Disney World to Port Canaveral cost $39 per person each way. A travel agent can get you the same pricing you will find anywhere else, plus they offer onboard credit to spend on the ship and will help you plan the whole thing.
In this article, we will give an overview of the factors that affect the price of a Disney Cruise and the benefits of booking a Disney Cruise. Disney Cruise Line offers an adults-only section on their ships, called “The District,” which is reserved for guests aged 18 and over. This section includes various bars and lounges, as well as a nightclub and a movie theater. At the time of this article, there is a 7-day cruise for only $116 per person per day. They have special offers for different sailings, military rates, Florida resident rates, and Candian-Resident savings.
To intrigue travelers, cruise lines have been known to release special discounts during off-peak seasons. The travel industry is notorious for raising prices during these times, as most parties choose to travel during these seasons, and Disney is no exception. Understandably, this can be next to impossible for families with school-aged children without neglecting obligations. Other beloved characters have been found in dining halls, on deck for dance parties, at the Broadway shows, or even on special, themed sailings such as Pixar at Sea or Marvel at Sea. Disney also does not have any casino onboard, which means additional space for added entertainment, and larger spaces for guests to roam.
However, the 3-7 night voyage range appeals most to families, especially classic Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries. On the four other Disney Cruise Line ships, Palo is also $50 for prix-fixe and offers an a la carte menu. Kids can also play dress-up and get a full regal or pirate (only available on Pirate Party Nights) makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, found on every Disney ship.
Disney Fantasy sails for most of the year on 7-night cruises and varies between Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean cruises. To an extent, the price of your cruise will depend upon which of the Disney ships you are sailing on. After the cost has been calculated for two adults, the third, fourth, and fifth guests in the same stateroom are charged at a reduced price. Disney publishes rates that show the cost for 2 guests which include taxes and fees.
For a balanced cost of a cruise, it is safe to say that the average cost is roughly $1000 per person, for a 4-night cruise. The cost does not drop much per person when you add a second person to a single stateroom, unlike Walt Disney World resorts, though it is cheaper than selecting two staterooms. While most food and soft drinks are included with the price of your Disney Cruise Line vacation, some options are not included, such as alcoholic beverages. On average, alcoholic drinks can range in price from $6 to over $20, depending on what you order. In this guide, we will break down how much an average Disney Cruise Line vacation can cost. Additionally, we’ll look at how the price can differentiate depending on which ship and time you sail, and other amenities and add-ons.
If heading from the cruise port straight to the airport, plan your flight for mid afternoon or later to save yourself the stress and worry after your pleasant vacation. If heading to the amusement parks in the area, it might be best to go after your cruise if COVID testing is still necessary for boarding when you travel. No sense in risking a decline to come aboard after all of this anticipation and preparation. With so many options out there for your next vacation and Disney Cruise Line’s rack rate prices, it can be easy to wonder if this cruise line is worth it.
Most owners are flush with time and money, although many continue their professional lives by living part-time (three to four months a year) onboard. Normal occupancy at any time is 150 to 200 residents who are more than just your average millionaire or billionaire cruiser! They make up a special class of cruiser who may already have almost everything money can buy. It all starts with the boldest cruise ships at sea — and ours have won awards for everything from world class dining and spectacular entertainment, to record-setting onboard thrills and groundbreaking innovation. Transatlantic and transpacific sailings offer plenty of relaxing sea days and stops at must-visit cruise destinations. Go from colorful Caribbean towns to iconic European capitals, or explore bazaars, exotic isles and dense rainforests in regions like the Arabian Gulf, the South Pacific and Latin America.

Celebrity offers an impressive range of itineraries in Alaska for 2024. You could sail round-trip from Vancouver to the breathtaking Hubbard Glacier, a vast wall of ice that calves off chunks with a mighty rumble as you watch from the deck of your ship. Thanks to its majestic wildlife, wild terrain, and breathtaking glaciers, Alaska is one of the best cruise destinations in the world.

Your ship is your home away from home that will take you past exciting cities, quaint villages and beautiful landscapes. One of the best things about a river cruise is that they dock right in the heart of each city that is visited putting you in the center of it all. Many cruise lines also call on Nassau in the Bahamas and their own Bahamian private islands, where beach days are sublime. Some longer itineraries (10 nights or more) also combine Eastern and Southern ports of call with less-visited islands such as St. Kitts and Antigua. We've been around the block (and around the world) when it comes to cruises.

A transit of the circa-1914 original or the 2016 extension takes a single day. The remainder of the cruise will be spent calling on ports in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia (historic coastal Cartagena), Mexico and the Caribbean. For example, cruises often begin in Istanbul, home to the 6th-century Hagia Sophia and the elaborate Blue Mosque, constructed between 1609 and 1616. Ports of call also in Turkey may include Kusadasi for the nearby Roman city of Ephesus and its wondrous Library of Celsus. In Greece, medieval and Venetian architecture are thoughtfully preserved in the islands of Rhodes and Corfu, respectively. Your cruise might end in Athens, site of the 2,500-year-old Parthenon and its antiquities.
Elevators inside the terminal must be used for passengers with excess luggage. Late arriving passengers will be denied entry to the terminal and will not be allowed to sail on their cruise. If you’re flying in, you are going to need an alternative source of transportation to the cruise terminal. Your preference, budget, and size of your group will help you decide whether you take a train, bus, shuttle, or private transportation. Pick-up Zones 6 – 10 are clearly marked along the main building and are designated pick up areas for passengers who have pre-arranged their own transportation by car service, friend or family. It is highly recommended that all sailing passengers complete their Online Pre-Registration with the cruise line at least 5 days prior to sailing.
Getting from LaGuardia, JFK or Newark Airports to Cape Liberty Cruise Port
Passengers, who do not pre-register online, may be subject to longer wait times in the check in / pre-boarding process. The alternative is NYC's public transportation system (trains/buses to either Newark (Pennsylvania Station) or Bayonne (45th Street Light Rail Station), then you need to taxi to the cruise terminal. Newark' Penn Station serves regularly scheduled Amtrak trains interconnecting numerous destinations along the US East Coast. Bayonne's cruise port is in close proximity to EWR-Newark Liberty Airport (10 mi / 16 km to the west, ~20-min travel time by car) and easy to access, skipping NYC's heavy traffic and bridges. From the Port Authority Bus Terminal, take the 119 bus to Bayonne. The 119 bus travels along Kennedy Boulevard into Bayonne and stops on request every three blocks.

We recommend staying in a hotel that’s on the New Jersey side of the river. This is so you don’t have to worry about bridge traffic, and it’ll be easier to get to and from the cruise port. Any self-carry luggage must be no bigger than 23” x 16”.

Before your trip to the Caribbean or Bermuda, it’s important to know everything about your chosen departure port. Therefore, we’ve compiled all the information you should know to help make your trip planning process smoother. Reservations are not accepted or required, a parking space is guaranteed. Luggage drop-off zones are located directly in front of the terminal. The coach shuttle pick-up area is located directly across from the terminal facility exit. Zones A, B, C, D are designated for pre-arranged hotel shuttle service. All passengers should arrive at the time indicated on their sailing documents posted by their cruise line. Due to security restrictions, only ticketed passengers will be allowed in the terminal building.
Public transit in NYC is not recommended from LaGuardia or JFK, as both are at least two hours from the port and require several trains and/or buses to get to either Newark Penn Station or Bayonne. Then, a taxi ride or rideshare is necessary for the final stretch. Items that were confiscated can be retrieved directly after CBP inspection area and before exiting the facility.
This is the fastest, cheapest and most secure/guaranteed transfer option. In 2018 was inaugurated the ferry route connecting Bayonne with Manhattan (across Hudson River). A US$650,000 federal grant was given to the city for building of a ferry terminal.

Maintains a steady speed: Cruise control helps to maintain a steady speed, even in varying traffic conditions. This can help to reduce fuel consumption, as the car does not need to use as much fuel to accelerate and decelerate.
Reduces unnecessary acceleration and braking: When using cruise control, the driver is less likely to accelerate and brake unnecessarily. This can help to save fuel, as the car does not need to use as much fuel to overcome inertia.
Optimizes engine performance: Cruise control can help to optimize engine performance by keeping the engine running at a constant speed. This can help to improve fuel efficiency, as the engine does not need to work as hard to maintain a certain speed.
Reduces aerodynamic drag: When the car is traveling at a constant speed, it experiences less aerodynamic drag. This can help to improve fuel efficiency, as the car does not need to use as much fuel to overcome wind resistance.
Overall, cruise control can be a valuable tool for improving fuel efficiency. It can help to reduce fuel consumption and save money on gas.
Prevents speeding tickets
Cruise control can help to prevent speeding tickets in a number of ways:
Maintains a set speed: Cruise control helps to maintain a set speed, even in varying traffic conditions. This can help to prevent the driver from accidentally exceeding the speed limit.
Alerts the driver when the speed limit changes: Some cruise control systems include a feature that alerts the driver when the speed limit changes. This can help to prevent the driver from accidentally exceeding the new speed limit.
Reduces the temptation to speed: When the driver is using cruise control, they are less likely to be tempted to speed. This is because the car is maintaining a set speed, and the driver does not need to focus on maintaining a certain speed themselves.
Helps the driver to stay focused on the road: When the driver is using cruise control, they can focus more on other aspects of driving, such as paying attention to the road and other vehicles. This can help to prevent the driver from making mistakes that could lead to a speeding ticket.
Overall, cruise control can be a valuable tool for preventing speeding tickets. It can help to keep the car within the speed limit and reduce the temptation to speed.
Easy to use
Cruise control is very easy to use. Most cruise control systems are operated using a series of buttons and switches located on the steering wheel or dashboard. To activate cruise control, the driver simply sets the desired speed and then presses the "cruise" button. The cruise control will then maintain the set speed until the driver presses the "cancel" button or brakes.
Some cruise control systems also include additional features, such as the ability to set a maximum speed, resume a previously set speed, and adjust the speed in increments. These features can be useful for driving in a variety of conditions, such as in stop-and-go traffic or on long road trips.
